Quick Chek, Multiple Locations
Bohler Engineering has assisted in Quick Chek’s aggressive expansion efforts in NJ and NY from concept phase through construction. Quick Chek, historically a convenience store operator, began building facilities with gas stations in 2001 and has since built a total of 13 facilities with gas sales. Bohler Engineering has also worked closely with Quick Chek real estate, construction, and operations departments to establish site design standards and gas station/car wash specifications necessary to act as a foundation to their efforts toward adding gas sales and car washes to their sites. Bohler Engineering hosts monthly meetings with Quick Chek real estate and construction departments to effectively manage their aggressive development plan to meet the projected number of yearly store openings. Bohler takes an active role in project management and coordinating efforts of other consultants in the entitlement process. Bohler also assists Quick Chek’s internal construction/engineering department in bid package preparation, bid reviews, construction scheduling, obtaining construction permits, and obtaining certificates of occupancy.
Cumberland Farms-Exxon: E85, Hauppauge, NY
Bohler Engineering is currently assisting Cumberland Farms in the major undertaking to bring E85 fuel to new markets. New dispensing equipment is required for the alternative fuel, which is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. We are proposing to install a new underground storage tank and dedicated dispenser for E85 fuel. Additionally, our Firm is supporting Cumberland Farms in its request for relief from the Department of State Code Enforcement Division for the use of non-UL approved dispensing equipment and for their variance request with regards to Stage II Vapor Recovery requirements.
